Washington: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Secretary of State of the United States Marco Rubio jointly chaired the seventh Qatar-US Strategic Dialogue in Washington. The dialogue focused on enhancing cooperation and partnership across various sectors, including political, economic, commercial, investment, and cultural fields. Key topics of joint interest such as regional stability, counterterrorism, human trafficking, human rights, climate change, energy efficiency, and humanitarian assistance were also discussed.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation included prominent figures such as HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, and HE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed. Other notable participants were HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United States Sheikh Mishaal bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Advisor to the Prime Minister for Strategic Affairs Ali bin Abdullah Al Thawadi, among others.
The United States was represented by high-level officials, including HE Counselor of the Department of State and Director of the US Secretary of State's Policy Planning Staff Mike Needham, HE Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker, and HE Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg. Additional participants were HE Senior Bureau Officials from various departments and the Deputy Spokesperson of the Department of State Tommy Pigott.
