Prime Minister and South Korean Foreign Minister Discuss Regional Military Escalation

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Cho Hyun. During the call, both leaders discussed the ongoing military escalation in the region and its potential impact on regional and international security and stability. They also deliberated on peaceful solutions to the ongoing disputes.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's condemnation of recent Iranian attacks on its territory, emphasizing that such actions are unjustifiable. He highlighted Qatar's consistent stance of neutrality in regional conflicts and its efforts to foster dialogue between Iran and the international community.

HE Sheikh Mohammed expressed concern over the targeting of critical infrastructure, particularly those related to water, food, and energy, warning that such actions could pose significant risks to the region's populations. He stressed the importance of halting all escalatory measures, promoting reason and wisdom, and resolving the crisis to ensure regional security.

HE the South Korean Foreign Minister echoed the call for de-escalation, emphasizing the need for a return to negotiations and diplomacy to prevent further chaos.
