Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud. During the call, they discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly in light of the ceasefire announcement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with other issues of mutual concern.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's support for the ceasefire announcement and emphasized the urgency of leveraging this development to prevent further escalation of tensions in the region. His Excellency highlighted the importance of ensuring maritime security, freedom of navigation, and international trade, in accordance with international law, to contribute to regional stability and the continuity of global supply chains.
