Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion focused on the recent military escalation in the region and its significant impacts on regional and international security and stability. Both leaders examined peaceful solutions to resolve ongoing disputes and underscored the importance of maintaining freedom of navigation in the affected areas.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs articulated the urgency of stopping the unjustified Iranian attacks on Qatar and neighboring countries. He highlighted the potential risks associated with targeting key infrastructure, particularly those tied to water, food, and energy sectors.
Furthermore, HE Prime Minister stressed the importance of reinforcing regional coordination, enhancing collaborative efforts, and returning to diplomatic negotiations. He pointed out that rational approaches are crucial to managing the crisis and ensuring global energy security, freedom of navigation, environmental protection, and the preservation of regional stability.
