Premier League: Brighton and West Ham Defeat Manchester City and Nottingham Forest

Brighton: Brighton defeated Manchester City 2-1 on Sunday in the third round of the English Premier League. Brighton's goals came from James Milner, who scored via a penalty kick, and the German Brajan Gruda, who netted the ball in the 67th and 89th minutes. Erling Haaland scored Manchester City's lone goal in the 34th minute.

According to Qatar News Agency, the victory lifted Brighton to 10th place with four points, while Manchester City remained in 12th place with three points. In another match, West Ham United defeated host Nottingham Forest 3-0. Jarrod Bowen, the Brazilian Lucas Paqueta from a penalty kick, and Callum Wilson scored the goals in the 84th, 88th, and 90+1st minutes, respectively.

West Ham's win brought them to three points in 15th place, while Nottingham Forest remained on four points in ninth place.
