Doha: Croatian President Zoran Milanovic won reelection for another five-year term, according to preliminary results. Milanovic secured more than 75 percent of Sunday's run-off vote, while his opponent Dragan Primorac garnered 25 percent, as reported by the State Electoral Commission.
According to Qatar News Agency, Milanovic addressed his supporters with gratitude, stating, "Croatia, thank you!" He expressed that the victory is a recognition of his work during his previous term. Milanovic, who is 58 years old, nearly achieved victory in the first round of voting on December 29, when he received over 49 percent of the vote but fell just short of the 50 percent threshold required for an outright win.
