Polish PM Backs Italy’s Proposal for US-EU Summit

London: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Tuesday expressed his country’s support for Italy’s proposal to hold a US-EU summit. Tusk said in a statement that Poland supports Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s proposal for an urgent summit of the United States, European countries, and allies to discuss how to “deal with major challenges, starting with Ukraine.”

According to Qatar News Agency, the Polish prime minister’s comments come hours before a crucial summit in London with dozens of European officials to discuss support for Ukraine amid the US administration’s shifting policy toward Kyiv, as well as broader European defense issues.
