Doha: The Police Academy, through its Security Research and Studies Center, in collaboration with the Economic and Cyber Crimes Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation, organized an insightful seminar focused on cyber and economic crimes and strategies to combat them.
According to Qatar News Agency, the seminar was graced by the presence of Major General Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Technical and Specialized Affairs, along with several departmental directors from the Ministry of Interior and representatives from pertinent authorities.
The seminar assembled a group of specialists and experts to address the challenges posed by digital crimes, review existing legal and legislative frameworks, and discuss prevention and response mechanisms. It also aimed to strengthen institutional partnerships among relevant authorities and proposed recommendations and innovative solutions to tackle these issues effectively.
This initiative is part of the Police Academy's ongoing efforts to enhance cybersecurity measures and elevate both institutional and societal awareness in the fight against cyber and economic crimes.
