HEBRON – Ma’an – Dozens of students from Cordoba Mixed Elementary School were unable to reach their school this morning after the occupation forces closed the main entrance to Shuhada Street in the center of Hebron, where the school is located.
Despite the attempts of the school teachers and a number of parents to ask the occupation army to allow them to enter their school, the occupation forces insisted on closing the checkpoint and prevented movement in or out of the street.
More than 170 Palestinian families live in Al-Shuhada Street and Tel Rumeida neighborhood, and there is a school and a kindergarten inside the area closed by the iron and electronic barriers of the occupation army.
Since October 7th of last year, the residents have been suffering from many complications due to the occupation army preventing them from moving, as happened this morning.
Mufid Al-Sharbaty, a resident of the area, said that their lives have turned into hell due to the practices of the occupation army and the Israeli sett
lers, who have seized buildings in the neighborhood and have resided in them permanently for decades.
