Doha: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has revealed the operational schedule for its health centers during the holy month of Ramadan. The majority of the 31 centers will function on a two-shift system, encompassing both morning and evening hours.
According to Qatar News Agency, PHCC’s statement outlines that family medicine and support services will be available from Sunday to Thursday, operating from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and then from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am. Al Wakra Health Center, however, will maintain a continuous operation from 9:00 am to 12:00 am. Dental care services at Al Wakra Health Center will be offered from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, followed by an evening session from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am.
A total of 26 health centers will be operational, including South Wakra HC, Al Mashaf HC, and Al Thumama HC, among others. These centers will provide family medicine and support services from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am. Furthermore, dental care services will be available from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Al Karaana Health Center will offer its services, including dental care, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Meanwhile, Al Jumailiya HC will provide its services, including dental care, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Certain centers like Al Kaaban HC and Leghwairiya HC will only be open in the morning, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
During weekends, Al Wakra HC will be among the centers on duty, maintaining operations from 9:00 am to 12:00 am for family medicine and support services. Weekend dental services at Al Wakra HC will be available from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am. Additionally, 19 health centers will operate during weekends, providing services from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am.
PHCC has detailed that dental services will adhere to the same hours at multiple centers including Airport HC, Al Mashaf HC, and Al Thumama HC. Al Jumailiya HC will remain on-call during weekends, while Al Ruwais HC and Al Khor HC will offer dental services on specific days over the weekend.
The statement also specifies that nine health centers, such as South Al Wakra HC and Umm Ghuwailina HC, will not operate during the weekend. Emergency services will only be available at Al Kaaban HC and Al Karaana HC.
Twelve health centers will offer urgent care services around the clock throughout the week. These include Al Ruwais HC, Umm Slal HC, and Muaither HC, among others. PHCC emphasizes that the community call center, reachable at 16000, will provide uninterrupted medical consultations by phone, 24/7.
