Gaza: A Palestinian youth was martyred, and a child was wounded by Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday evening in the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), citing medical sources, reported that a 35-year-old man was martyred by an Israeli sniper in the Atatra area of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip. A child was also wounded by Israeli fire inside a camp for displaced people east of Deir al Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
This incident occurs amidst ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement by Israeli forces, who have been targeting residential buildings and areas throughout the besieged Gaza Strip. Reports indicate that these violations include the demolition of homes and residential buildings, as well as intensive airstrikes and artillery shelling in areas east of Gaza City and Rafah. Additionally, Israeli warships have been reported to open fire off the coast of Khan Younis.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced earlier Tuesday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 70,366 martyrs and 171,064 wounded since Oct. 7, 2023.
