Bethlehem: A Palestinian truck driver was injured at dawn on Thursday by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire east of Bethlehem.

According to Qatar News Agency, a security source informed the Palestinian news agency (WAFA) that the occupation forces shot the truck driver, Jihad Abu Bakr, 30, as he attempted to cross the Ash-Ghurab gate. He sustained an injury to his foot and was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment.

Since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, raids and arrests in the West Bank have escalated dramatically across multiple governorates. These operations have swept through many areas, targeting thousands of Palestinian youth. These measures have been described as a "collective punishment" policy against the Palestinians residing in the West Bank.
