Palestine: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories in a phone call today with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
According to Qatar News Agency, Abbas emphasized that the immediate priority is establishing a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He highlighted the urgency of expediting humanitarian aid to alleviate the ongoing crisis and called for the release of hostages and prisoners. Abbas also stressed the importance of achieving comprehensive calm in the West Bank by stopping Israeli settlement activities.
In addition to discussing the current situation, both leaders agreed on the importance of continuing coordination and enhancing bilateral relations between Palestine and Australia across multiple levels.
