RAMALLAH: The Palestinian Presidency on Wednesday held the Israeli occupation army and the US Administration responsible for the ongoing daily massacres against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, along with the settlers' attacks on towns and villages, especially in Huwara town. According to Qatar News Agency, Official Spokesperson for the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, stated that the US Administration shoulders the responsibility of the settlers' attacks on Nablus governorate. These attacks are reportedly supported and protected by the Israeli occupation forces, with the number of such incidents reaching 30 in less than a month. Abu Rudeineh emphasized that the US Administration provides full support to the Israeli occupation authorities, shielding them from international accountability. The assaults perpetrated by the settlers against the Palestinians and the occupied territories necessitate a resolute international stance, as mentioned by Abu Rud eineh. He highlighted the inability to uphold international law due to the US's supportive stances for the Israeli occupation authorities. There was a call for immediate enforcement of international legitimacy's resolutions, including United Nations resolution 2735, to ceasefire in Gaza, allow humanitarian aid throughout the Gaza Strip, and withdraw Israeli forces. Furthermore, actions are urged to enable the State of Palestine to assume full responsibility in Gaza and enforce the UN General Assembly's resolution concerning the International Court of Justice's ruling on ending the occupation and colonization of Palestinian territories. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned of the dangerous consequences resulting from decisions by the Israeli occupation government, which embolden settlers' militias to conduct further assaults on Palestinians, encroach on lands, and damage property. In a statement, the ministry pointed out that these violations coincide with a recent decision by the new minister o f the occupation army to cancel the administrative detention of a settler involved in offenses against Palestinians. This has led to a remarkable escalation in attacks, notably early Wednesday morning with the burning of vehicles and houses in Hawara and Beit Furik near Nablus. The ministry's statement also stressed that sanctions imposed by several countries on some extremist settlers are insufficient in deterring their colonial practices in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. It called for imposing deterrent sanctions on the entire settlement system and enforcing UN Security Council resolution 2334 and other relevant UN resolutions. Earlier on Wednesday, settlers attacked Hawara town, burning several private vehicles and assaulting the people and their property with support from the Israeli occupation army.
