Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh met Saturday with a delegation from the Arab League headed by Arab League’s Assistant Secretary General and head of social affairs sector Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh.

He briefed the delegation on the latest developments and the occupation’s violations against the Palestinian people, along with the settlers’ constant terrorist attacks on several villages and towns, burning of homes and vehicles and destroying the property.

Shtayyeh stressed the importance of visits to Palestine to get familiarized with the situations on the ground, mobilize support for the Palestinian cause and expose the occupation’s practices against the Palestinian people.

The Israeli entity’s government today witnesses an entire change in its structure and is moving towards the religious Zionism with the intention of launching war on Jerusalem and its sacred places, especially Al Aqsa Mosque with the dramatic acceleration of pace of settlement, as well as altering rules of engagement with the intention of killing, Shtayyeh pointed out.

With the lack of a political prospect, there is a substantial need for a joint action to create an international movement based on the international legitimacy and Arab peace initiative, to end the occupation, and to establish the Palestinian State on 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital, he said.
