Gaza city: A Palestinian man succumbed to his wounds on Sunday after being injured in an Israeli airstrike near the Firas market in central Gaza City.

According to Qatar News Agency, the man had been wounded in the attack on the area before succumbing to his injuries. The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), citing medical sources, confirmed the fatality.

The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 72,819, with 172,894 wounded.

Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement by carrying out further assassinations, artillery shelling, airstrikes, and heavy gunfire in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
