NABLUS: A Palestinian was martyred Tuesday after being shot by Israeli occupation forces near the town of Deir Sharaf, northwest of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the incident, stating that the General Authority for Civil Affairs had informed them of the martyrdom of a boy by Israeli occupation forces. According to Qatar News Agency, the incident has led to heightened military measures around Nablus by the occupation forces. Local and security sources reported the closure of the Deir Sharaf military checkpoint in both directions, citing a stabbing operation as the reason. Additionally, military measures were tightened at the Al-Murabba'a and Awarta checkpoints south of the city, leading to thorough searches of vehicles. These actions disrupted the movement of citizens and caused significant traffic congestion. The Palestinian Ministry of Health also announced that the number of martyrs in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, has risen to 776 since the start of the aggression in October 2023. This number includes 167 children, highlighting the ongoing impact of the conflict on the civilian population.
