Palestinian Martyred, Brother Injured by Israeli Gunfire East of Gaza City

Gaza city: A Palestinian youth was martyred and his brother injured Friday after Israeli occupation forces opened fire in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

According to Qatar News Agency, cited by Qatar News Agency, Israeli forces stationed east of the city fired at Mahmoud Suleiman Al Wadiyah, resulting in his martyrdom and injuring his brother. The sources added that the occupation forces simultaneously carried out demolitions of residential buildings and launched artillery shelling on the Shuja'iyya and Al Tuffah neighborhoods in eastern Gaza.

Heavy artillery fire and intense gunfire from helicopters were also reported in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. Earlier today, three Palestinian civilians were martyred amid continued Israeli bombardment across various areas of Gaza, in violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Israeli breaches of the ceasefire persist, as occupation forces launched intensive airstrikes and shelling on Tuesday and Wednesday, targeting homes and civilian tents in several areas of the Strip. These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of more than 100 Palestinians, including over 46 children and 20 women.

On Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces announced the launch of airstrikes and shelling on Gaza, citing alleged violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hamas. A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity came into effect on the tenth of this month.
