Palestinian Institutions: Israeli Occupation Executes Palestinian Detainee in Al-Quds

Doha: Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) stated on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) executed a Palestinian civilian after arresting him in the occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds).

According to Qatar News Agency, the commission and PPS said in a joint statement that the IOF shot a Palestinian citizen after storming his house in the town of Al-Mukaber in Al-Quds before arresting him without revealing what they will do to him. The victim's martyrdom was announced later, after he was murdered by the Israeli occupation, the statement added.

The two institutions condemned this crime, which they considered, once again, a reflection of the level of brutality practiced by the Israeli occupation regime around the clock against the Palestinians, to cleanse their existence by murdering them incessantly, noting that field executions have been, and still are, one of the most prominent systematic policies pursued by the occupation for decades.

This crime comes hours after the so-called Israeli national security committee approved a draft law to execute prisoners, which is one of the tools the occupation seeks to consolidate genocide and ethnic cleansing against detainees through legal frameworks, in light of the continued complicity of the international system, and its support for the occupation in continuing its genocidal crimes and its racist settlement system, which aims to eliminate the Palestinian presence and ethnically cleanse Palestinians in the most blatant ways.
