Palestinian, French Presidents Hold Phone Call on Developments in Palestinian Territories

Ramallah: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed in a phone call Monday the latest developments in the Palestinian territories with French President Emmanuel Macron. Both presidents emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire and the swift delivery of humanitarian aid, as well as the rejection of the displacement of the Palestinian people from their territories.

According to Qatar News Agency, they also underscored the importance of implementing the Arab plan for early recovery and reconstruction, as long as the Palestinians remain on their territories, in addition to the two-state solution based on international legitimacy and the convening of the international peace conference in June 2025.

In addition, Abbas reiterated the utmost rejection of any calls or schemes that intend to displace the Palestinian people from their territories, whether in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, or East Jerusalem, which unequivocally contravene the resolutions of international legitimacy and international law. He called for halting the settlement and annexation plans, as well as the encroachment upon holy places.
