Ramallah: The Palestinian Cabinet has warned of the perilous consequences of the Israeli decision pertaining to land registration, considering the move as a recipe for a tinderbox. It stressed that this move gnaws at stability opportunities, being an unequivocal disavow of international obligations and conventions in pursuit of imposing a new reality on the ground through consolidating the crawling annexation in the West Bank.
According to Qatar News Agency, during its weekly sitting Tuesday, chaired by Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, the Palestinian Cabinet called on the international community, as well as Arab and Islamic nations, to spring into action and take more effective and resolute positions and measures over the occupation's policies to ensure the cessation of these measures and hold the Israeli occupation to account for its violations, to protect the rights of the Palestinian people and international law.
The Cabinet further railed against the escalatory measures in the West Bank, particularly the seizure of Palestinian territories, flattening homes in Jerusalem Governate, including issuing 40 home-demolition notifications in the town of Anata, alongside the growing cases of incursions and detentions, as well as maximizing restrictions on traffic.
In a similar context, Mustafa asserted that his government is vested with the responsibility of undertaking its duty toward the people of Gaza and would continue to do so, including employees' paychecks, along with various field interventions in the areas of health, education, water, and so forth. He called for further global efforts to boost relief and recovery operations, culminating in reconstruction.
