Jakarta:The State of Palestine has requested an urgent session of the Arab League Council to be convened at the level of permanent representatives. This meeting aims to discuss ways to provide international protection for Palestinians and to ensure respect for international law and resolutions concerning Jerusalem's legal status.

According to Qatar News Agency, Palestinian Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Muhannad Al Aklouk, stated that the session would explore Arab and international actions in response to escalating attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinians. These actions are reportedly being carried out with the backing of the Israeli government and military.

Al Aklouk emphasized that these attacks are part of a broader policy to displace Palestinian communities, expand settlements, and undermine the two-state solution. The meeting is also expected to address violations affecting occupied Jerusalem and its international legal status, especially in light of certain countries' decisions to open embassies in the city.
