Ramallah: The Palestinian Cabinet warned of the consequences of the implementation of Israeli occupation government's E1 plan - a settlement project that cuts off the West Bank from the occupied Jerusalem.
According to Qatar News Agency, in its session on Tuesday, the Cabinet said the plan which involves the building of thousands of housing units and other infrastructure on a 12 square kilometer (approximately 12,000 dunums) area, would result in the displacement of several Palestinian communities and effectively separate the northern West Bank from its southern parts.
It emphasized that this plan puts the international community to a real test regarding its commitment to international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy, which consistently affirm the illegality of colonialism.
The Cabinet also called for binding international measures to halt the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has continued since Oct. 7, 2023, and has, to date, resulted in the martyrdom of 62,064 Palestinians and the injury of 156,573 others.
