Pakistani, US FMs Discuss Bilateral Relations

Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari discussed in a phone call on Tuesday with his US counterpart Antony Blinken means of strengthening bilateral relations and issues of common concern.

The two sides also discussed support for Pakistan's economy and shared regional concerns, including issues related to Afghanistan.

Spokesperson for the US Department of State Matthew Miller said in a statement about the phone call that Blinken affirmed Washington's firm commitment to the Pakistani people, stressing that supporting the Pakistani economy remains a top priority for the US.

For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said in a statement that the US will continue to communicate with Pakistan through technical and development initiatives and through strong trade and investment relations.
