Kohlu: The Pakistani military announced that five militants were killed in a security operation conducted by its personnel in Kohlu District, Balochistan province, southwest Pakistan, after they were tipped off based on intelligence about their presence in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, in its statement, the army highlighted that the military forces engaged these armed elements using hybridized weapons, resulting in an extensive exchange of fire.

Weapons, ammunition, and explosive devices were seized from the militants, who had been actively involved in numerous terrorist operations in the region, the statement read.

For years, the Pakistani forces have been undertaking efforts to eliminate armed groups entrenched in rugged mountainous areas, which occasionally unleash attacks against civilians and security personnel.
