Khuzdar: The Pakistani military announced Wednesday that it had killed five militants during a security operation in the southwest of the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, the military stated the operation was conducted in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan province, based on intelligence information. The statement detailed that security forces successfully eliminated five armed militants during the operation and seized a large quantity of weapons that were in their possession.

Pakistani military sites have been targeted by militant groups for several years. The security forces and military have regularly conducted operations across the country to target members of these groups.
