One Person Killed in Israeli Airstrike on Southern Lebanon

Tyre: One person was killed Friday in an Israeli airstrike on a town in southern Lebanon.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Health stated in a press release that an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Siddiqin in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon, resulting in one death.

It is worth noting that a ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon came into effect on November 27, 2014, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli forces from border villages and towns within 60 days. The Lebanese government subsequently agreed to extend the deadline until February 18, 2014. However, Israeli forces remain in five locations and continue their violations, which have exceeded 7,000 airspace violations and more than 2,400 military activities in the UNIFIL area of operations in southern Lebanon since last November.
