Gaza: One Palestinian was martyred and another injured on Monday by Israeli occupation forces' fire in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, local sources reported that a citizen succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli bombardment targeting Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis. At the same time, a teenage boy sustained moderate injury after being targeted by a drone near Bani Suheila roundabout east of the city.
The sources added that Israeli aircraft carried out several airstrikes in the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, triggering fear and panic among residents and medical staff.
A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel entered into force on October 10 as part of the first phase of an initiative by US President Donald Trump to end the war on Gaza. However, Israeli occupation forces have continued to violate the agreement through shelling and attacks on residential areas, resulting in further deaths and injuries, worsening the humanitarian suffering of the population, disrupting efforts to restore stability in the Strip, and hindering the return of displaced residents to their homes.
