One Killed, Others Injured as Israeli Occupation Forces Pound Central Gaza Strip

Deir al-balah: A Palestinian was killed Saturday and others were wounded after an Israeli drone attacked a group of people on Al-Aqsa Martyrs Street in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, according to a source in the Palestinian ambulance and emergency services.

According to Qatar News Agency, the death toll from Israel's military campaign in the Gaza enclave since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 72,819, while the number of injured has climbed to 172,894. The total number of people killed since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 11 has reached 922, with 2,786 others injured and 781 bodies pulled from the rubble.

Several victims remain trapped under bombed-out buildings and on the streets, as paramedics and rescuers have been unable to reach them. The Israeli occupation forces continue to breach the ceasefire accord by carrying out assassination operations and artillery shelling, as well as launching intense salvos of fire across multiple parts of the enclave.
