Beirut: One person was killed today in an Israeli airstrike on a town in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported that an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Qaaqaaiyet El Jisr, resulting in the death of one individual.
According to Qatar News Agency, a ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon came into effect on November 27, requiring the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within sixty days. The Beirut government later agreed to extend the deadline until February 18. While Israeli forces have withdrawn from most areas, five border points remain under occupation.
