Nabatieh Al-Fawqa: One person was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting southern Lebanon on Thursday.
According to Qatar News Agency, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a municipal worker in the town of Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, in southern Lebanon, while he was working on restoring water supply to local homes. The strike killed him instantly.
The ceasefire agreement reached last November stipulated that Israeli occupation forces would withdraw from border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within 60 days.
Although the Lebanese government agreed to extend the deadline until February 18, Israeli occupation forces remain stationed at five locations and continue to violate the agreement through repeated military operations.
