On the occasion of the World Humanitarian Day… Russian aid distribution in Qamishli

The Russian forces in Qamishli distributed food aid to about 300 families in al-Watotiyeh village in Qamishli countryside.

On the occasion of the World Humanitarian Day (which is the anniversary of the martyrdom of 22 people while performing their humanitarian work in Iraq in 2003 following a terrorist attack), the Russian forces distributed food baskets to 300 families, the supervisor of the distribution operations of the Russian forces, Lieutenant-Colonel Victor said.

He added that this humanitarian work of the Russian forces continues to support Syria, which is suffering from difficult conditions as a result of the war, the earthquake and the unjust siege imposed on the Syrian people.

Head of al-Watotiyeh church committee Aziz Soumi stressed that the Russian initiative represents Russia’s humanitarian role in supporting the Syrian people.
