Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi underscored the imperative of assigning the highest priority to sustained and intensified political and diplomatic pressure aimed at stopping the war in the region, containing its ramifications, and addressing the consequent threats to the region's security, stability, and the safety of its populations.

According to Qatar News Agency, this statement came during Albusaidi's separate meetings with a lineup of ambassadors from several non-European Union (EU) countries, including the United States, Brazil, and Turkiye, as well as ambassadors from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members, Iraq, Jordan, and Egypt.

The Omani Foreign Minister emphasized the need for broad regional and international action to address the ongoing conflict, highlighting that halting the war should be considered a supreme national and regional interest for all involved parties.

Albusaidi's meetings focused on developments related to the Israeli-American war on Iran and its harmful repercussions on the region and the world.
