Oman, India Discuss Strengthening Economic, Investment Cooperation

Muscat: Oman's Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais Mohammed Al Yousef met in Muscat on Monday with Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Vedprakash Goyal, to discuss avenues for economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in various sectors including technology, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and infrastructure, with an emphasis on increasing Indian investments in Oman.

According to Qatar News Agency, both ministers highlighted the significance of holding the 11th session of the Oman-India joint committee. The session is set to emphasize economic and trade achievements and aims to expedite the completion of a comprehensive economic partnership agreement. This agreement is seen as a crucial step to bolster trade and investment exchanges between Oman and India.
