Oman, Bulgaria Hold Political Consultations to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Muscat: The first round of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and Bulgaria was held Tuesday. The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, while the Bulgarian delegation was chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Anguelieva.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Oman and Bulgaria, with both parties showing a strong commitment to further collaboration across multiple sectors. The talks also included the potential for each country to establish embassies in the other's territory, which would mark a significant step in diplomatic relations.

In addition to bilateral issues, the session covered regional and international matters of mutual concern, including the impact of the Israeli war on Gaza. Both sides expressed a shared interest in addressing these global challenges collaboratively.
