Muscat: Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef engaged in a video conference with Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade Amer Al Bassat to explore avenues for enhancing trade and investment cooperation between Oman and Lebanon.
According to Qatar News Agency, the dialogue centered around opportunities to foster investment, develop industries, and capitalize on the strategic locations of both nations, particularly through the logistics sector. The feasibility of establishing a direct flight connection between Muscat and Beirut was also a focal point, with discussions highlighting its potential positive impact on tourism and trade exchange.
The conversation also included a proposal to organize an Omani-Lebanese economic forum, accompanied by an exhibition showcasing Lebanese industries, aiming to strengthen economic ties and partnership prospects between the two countries.
