Doha: Oil prices edged higher on Thursday amid investor concerns over escalating geopolitical tensions: Oil prices rose, reflecting investor concerns over increasing geopolitical tensions.
According to Qatar News Agency, Brent crude futures increased by 34 cents, or 0.49%, reaching $69.74 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate crude futures saw a rise of 37 cents, or 0.57%, to $65 a barrel.
Both benchmarks concluded the previous session on a positive note, with Brent futures gaining 0.87% and US crude rising more than 1.05%, driven by concerns regarding supply.
