Doha:Oil prices surged to their highest levels in nearly six months, driven by concerns over potential disruptions to energy supplies from the Middle East. Brent crude increased by 3.14%, reaching $116.72 per barrel.

According to Qatar News Agency, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures saw a significant gain of $3.80, or 3.8%, closing at $103.27 per barrel. This rise in oil prices was observed at Friday's settlement.
