Oil Prices Edge Higher as US Crude Stocks Decline


Beirut: Oil prices recorded a slight increase at the close of trading on Thursday amid a decline in US crude oil stocks. Brent crude futures rose by 8 cents, or 0.12 percent, to settle at $65.00 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained 9 cents, or 0.15 percent, to close at $60.57 a barrel.

According to Qatar News Agency, the uptick came as data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed crude oil inventories falling by 6.86 million barrels, bringing total stocks down to 416 million barrels for the week ending October 24.
