Doha: Oil prices fell as increased oil production by the OPEC+ alliance and concerns over weak global demand outweighed investor worries about US President Donald Trump's threats to India over its purchases of Russian oil.
According to Qatar News Agency, Brent crude futures fell by $1.12, or 1.63%, to $67.64 per barrel. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude dropped $1.13, or 1.7%, to $65.16 per barrel.
On Sunday, the OPEC+ agreed to raise oil production by 547,000 barrels per day in September, contributing to the decline in oil prices.
