OIC Strongly Condemns Israeli Occupation’s Bombing of Nasser Hospital in Gaza Strip

Doha: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned, in the strongest terms, the Israeli occupation's bombing of the Nasser Hospital in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of over 20 civilians, mostly health care personnel and media professionals.

According to Qatar News Agency, this act is part of a series of systematic violations by the Israeli occupation against media outlets and hospitals, as well as their personnel in the occupied Palestinian territory. The OIC stressed in a statement on Tuesday that these actions aim to suppress the truth and obscure the realities of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and displacement from the global public view.

The OIC held Israel, as the occupying force, fully accountable for this crime, which it stated requires investigation and accountability. The organization called on international bodies to take immediate actions to stop the deliberate targeting of journalists, media professionals, and healthcare personnel in the occupied Palestinian territory, urging for their protection under international humanitarian law and relevant conventions.

Additionally, the OIC reiterated its call for the international community, particularly the Security Council, to intervene urgently to impose a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of medical, relief, humanitarian, and basic need assistance to the Gaza Strip.
