Doha: The Israeli occupation forces continue their assault on the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camp for the 101st consecutive day, and on Nur Shams camp for the 88th day, amid ongoing escalations including raids and home demolitions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the city has witnessed intense movement of Israeli military vehicles since early morning, particularly around the Martyr Thabet Thabet roundabout and the government hospital, where they obstructed the movement of Palestinian civilians and vehicles.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces, accompanied by bulldozers and infantry units, spread throughout and around the Nour Shams camp. They pursued Palestinians attempting to retrieve belongings from their homes that were threatened with demolition, detained several young men, took them to a military post at the camp entrance, and interrogated them, even though they had prior approval to enter the area.
Last night, the occupation forces announced their intention to demolish new buildings belonging to seven families in the Nour Shams camp. Each building contains multiple residential apartments.
This escalation coincides with the implementation of a plan by the Israeli military to demolish 106 homes and residential buildings in the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps.
The ongoing Israeli aggression and escalation in Tulkarm and its camps have resulted in the killing of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women, in addition to dozens injured and arrested. Widespread destruction has been inflicted on infrastructure, homes, commercial stores, and vehicles.
Moreover, the Israeli offensive has triggered a wave of forced displacement, with over 4,200 families fleeing from the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps. Over 400 homes have been completely destroyed and 2,573 partially damaged, with camp entrances and alleyways sealed off.
