Occupation Forces Continue Aggression on Tulkarm for 87th Consecutive Day

Tulkarm: The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 87th consecutive day, and for the 74th day against the Nur Shams camp, amid an ongoing escalation of incursions, raids, and vandalism.

According to Qatar News Agency, a loud explosion was heard on Wednesday morning in the Jabal al-Iskan area opposite Nur Shams camp, east of Tulkarm city. It later emerged that the occupation forces had detonated a suspicious object in the area.

The occupation forces continued their siege of Nur Shams camp, deploying infantry units around it and within its neighborhoods, specifically Jabal Al Nasr and Jabal Al Salihin, amidst the firing of live ammunition and sound bombs. They pursue residents who attempt to reach their homes to check on them or retrieve any belongings, if any. They arrest young men and take them to military barracks in the area.

Last night, the Tulkarm camp witnessed a heavy deployment of occupation soldiers, who wreaked havoc and destroyed the property of its residents after expelling them, rendering the camp empty and devoid of any signs of life.

In parallel, the city of Tulkarm is witnessing a daily escalation in incursions and raids on its neighborhoods and markets. These raids include the deployment of foot and mobile vehicles amid provocative and arbitrary measures against citizens, particularly young men, including detention, abuse, confiscation of their ID cards and mobile phones, and in many cases, arrest.

The occupation forces' ongoing aggression and escalation against the city of Tulkarm and its two camps resulted in the martyrdom of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. They also injured and arrested dozens.

These attacks also resulted in the forced displacement of more than 4,000 families from the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, comprising more than 24,000 residents, in addition to hundreds of citizens from the northern neighborhood of the city after their homes were seized and a number of them converted into military barracks.
