Doha: North Korea's Ministry of Defense stated that "military provocations" by the United States and its allies have become "more apparent" under the administration of President Donald Trump.
According to Qatar News Agency, the head of the ministry's media office accused Washington and its allies of threatening the security environment of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), referring to recent joint military drills and the US military presence in South Korea. He stated that they will counter the enemy's strategic threats with their own strategic means, vowing to continue North Korea's military activities.
On Thursday, South Korea's Ministry of Defense announced a joint air drill with the United States, featuring at least one B-1B strategic bomber. Pyongyang has long criticized military cooperation between Seoul and Washington, viewing it as a direct threat to its security and its nuclear and military programs.
