New Israeli Incursion into Syria’s Quneitra, Residents Threatened with Fire

Quneitra: Israeli occupation forces on Thursday renewed their incursion into Syrian territories. An occupation force entered the village of Al Asha in the southern Quneitra countryside.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the occupation patrol warned the villagers against approaching their surrounding agricultural lands, threatening to open fire on them if they did. The occupation force noted that excavation work would be carried out in the coming days to establish a military post west of the village.

Israel continues its aggressive policies and violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement by incursions into southern Syria and attacks on civilians through raids, arbitrary arrests, forced displacement, destruction of property, and the bulldozing of agricultural lands.

Syria continues to demand the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from Syrian territory, stressing that all measures taken by it in southern Syria are null and void and do not produce any legal effect according to international law. Syria calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities and deter the practices of the occupation, and to compel it to withdraw completely from southern Syria and return to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
