Doha: A new group of experts was sworn in on Wednesday at the Ministry of Justice, a step that allows them to be registered on the official roster of experts authorized to appear before the country's judicial authorities, in accordance with Law No. 16 of 2017 regulating expert work. The new cohort includes five Qatari nationals with expertise in a range of fields, including forensic accounting, real estate valuation, chemical engineering and environmental sciences, mechanical engineering, and human resources.
According to Qatar News Agency, Director of the Experts Department at the Ministry of Justice, Abdullah Abu Shehab Al Marri, congratulated the newly sworn-in experts, underscoring the importance of their role as assistants to judges and as a key pillar in the delivery of swift justice. He said their legal responsibility lies in presenting technical evidence and proof in various cases, noting that their reports help expedite case resolution and support the achievement of justice.
Al Marri added that, in line with directives from HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, the ministry is committed to strengthening the national cadre of experts and providing qualified professionals who keep pace with the country's comprehensive development across sectors. This effort includes creating an integrated work environment that supports the development of a leading national expert system and expanding areas of expertise in line with the needs of the judicial authorities and relevant institutions.
The swearing-in of the new experts comes as part of the Ministry of Justice's ongoing efforts to develop the judicial expert system and enhance professional performance in accordance with the highest internationally recognized technical and professional standards, ensuring the accuracy and quality of expert reports and bolstering the confidence of judicial bodies and litigants in national expertise.
The ministry continues to implement specialized training and qualification programs aimed at developing the skills of Qatari experts and equipping them with the latest knowledge in their fields, strengthening their role as effective partners in the administration of justice and the rule of law.
