The National Earthquake Center announced reporting 13 weak quakes over the past 24 hours.
“The stations of the National Seismological Network recorded two tremors at the Syrian-Turkish border, one of which has occurred 50km north of Aleppo measuring three magnitudes on the Richter Scale, the other one has occurred northwest of Aleppo with a magnitude of 2.1,” the center said in a statement.
The center reported three tremors measuring 1.7, 2.5 and 2.1 magnitudes in Liwa Iskenderun, six tremors in Turkey, one tremor in the Mediterranean, and a quake east of the country.
The quakes have occurred at different depths reaching up to 142.7km.
