Doha: Acting Director of the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vice Chairperson of the National Committee for the Preparation of the National Human Rights Action (NHRC) Plan (2026-2030) Sarah Abdullah Al Saadi chaired the committee’s first meeting, held Thursday at the Ministry’s headquarters. The meeting focused on initiating the groundwork for the comprehensive National Human Rights Action Plan.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Committee emphasized the significance of the action plan as a pivotal national strategy. It aims to fortify Qatar’s commitments to human rights, aligning with the broader objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030. The members of the committee expressed their appreciation for the collaborative efforts being made to achieve these goals, underscoring the necessity of such a plan in the advancement of human rights within the country.
