National Committee for International Humanitarian Law Holds 3rd Meeting of 2025


Doha: The National Committee for International Humanitarian Law convened its third meeting of 2025, chaired by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Committee Chairman Saeed bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi.



According to Qatar News Agency, the committee reviewed the topics on its agenda, including the ongoing developments related to the establishment of the Arab committee for international humanitarian law. This initiative aims to enhance coordination and cooperation among Arab countries in the field of international humanitarian law.



The meeting also covered a range of regional initiatives and community partnerships. Discussions included coordination efforts with relevant governmental and international bodies and strategies to protect cultural property in conflict situations.



At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee underscored the importance of maintaining coordination with relevant local and regional authorities. It also highlighted the need to strengthen initiatives that contribute to the consolidation of the principles of international humanitarian law.
