MSDF Participates in Roundtable Discussion on Making Families More Stable and Cohesive

Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) participated in a roundtable discussion focusing on transforming the social sector to promote more stable and cohesive families. This event was organized by the Community Development Authority of the Government of Dubai and held as part of the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the opening session, Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at MSDF, highlighted the role of the family as the cornerstone of a cohesive society. He emphasized the need for developing social policies that ensure family stability and bolster social cohesion amid rapid global changes in employment, technology, and the economy.

Al Khayarin outlined that the State of Qatar prioritizes the family in its social policies, aligning with the Qatar National Vision 2030. This involves enhancing comprehensive social protection, promoting work-life balance, and empowering women, youth, and persons with disabilities.

He also referenced MSDF's 2025-2030 strategy titled "From Care to Empowerment," which is designed based on international best practices and regional and global standards.

The Assistant Undersecretary affirmed the Ministry's dedication to formulating flexible social policies that effectively address the diverse needs of various societal segments.

Al Khayarin concluded by reaffirming Qatar's commitment to strengthening regional and international cooperation for sustainable social development. He praised the Community Development Authority of the Government of Dubai for organizing the roundtable discussion, recognizing it as an innovative platform for exchanging expertise and developing solutions that contribute to building more stable and cohesive families.
